Number 20 paper machine. Start-up was in 1958 and was rebuilt in 1978.
Maximum speed is 2100 feet per minute and produces 336 tons a day. The
paper grade is used for envelope, printing and tablet paper. Length is
375’, width 251’ and approximate average reel weight is 18 tons. It
takes six operators per shift on the dry end and three in stock prep.
Number 19 paperboard machine. Start-up was in1965 and was rebuilt in
1987. Maximum speed is 2000 feet per minute and produces 758 tons a day.
The paperboard grade is used for milk and juice carton stock, cup stock
and ovenable board. Length is 605’, width 242’ and approximate average
reel weight is 20 tons. It takes seven operators per shift on the dry end
and two in stock prep.
