Bolo Ball

 

If you have never played bolo ball before you're in for a treat.  We here at Cozy Creek have a permanent Bolo Ball area set up for you and your family to enjoy.  Just come by the office and ask for the bolos and throw to your hearts content.

Wrap the bolo around the bar.
Top bar 1 pt, Middle bar 2 pts, Bottom bar 3 pts.

Go over 21 go back to 16.

 

How to Play

     Toss the bolo towards the bolo target trying to wrap the bolo around one of the three horizontal bars.  Each player or team alternates tossing their bolos.  Once all have been thrown add up the score and walk to opposite target to get bolos and begin throwing to opposite target.

Scoring

  • The top bar is one point.
  • The middle bar is two points.
  • The third or bottom bar is three points.

If you miss the bolo target no points are given.  The bolo must wrap around or hang from the bar to count as a point.  If an opposing player wraps a bolo on the same rung, neither player gets a point.  The opposing player voids the first one.  However, if one of the players get a second bolo on the same rung, those points count.

Winning the Game

   A team or player must get exactly 21 points to win.  If a player or team goes over 21 points they must go back to 16. 

Rules and Safety

  • All throws must be made from approximately 6 paces in front of the opposite target. 
  • All throws must be made with an underhand motion.  Overhand or side throws cause a loss of turn.
  • When making a throw make sure no one is in an area which they could be injured.
